Trips and Tails

We started out November with Keegan's baptism, Draper, Calvin, Olson and Deacon sang and Olson, Deacon, Holden and Emily also sang a song.
We all traveled to Helena to Rachel and Casey's for Thanksgiving, the roads were great until we reached northern Idaho and into Montana where there was a snow storm and some snowy roads, with lots of snow out at Rachel's, it was beautiful but chilly!  It was wonderful to be all together in one place and the kids had so much fun playing in the snow and the hot tub-they were crazy jumping into the snow, rolling around and then back into the hot tub-I lost track of how many times they did it!  We had a day of exploring in town-the museum, the Capitol building and the old governor's mansion.  We spent an afternoon just running and playing in the gym at the church.
It was time to get ready for Christmas as soon as we were home, we went out into the Gifford Pinchot National forest with Natalie and Drew to get our trees.  We got two this year, a little one for the kitchen/dining room area and a big one for the living room.
Calvin and I took a drive out to Dougan Falls at the end of the month, sometimes I just have to get out of the city and see the sky and a view.
The January birthdays kept us full of cake-Draper, Calvin, and Natalie all were born in January.  I've been working on unfinished quilt projects, this Swoon quilt will hopefully be done soon.  We put up some new ledges from Ikea for family pictures and picture books.
The many sleeping positions of Simon-I could fill a book with his interesting sleeping positions!
